Somerset County RFU's role is to administer and organise the game in collaboration with our member clubs, and to provide support for the development of the game. We have 55 affiliated clubs, 2 combinations and over 150 teams across Somerset with a combined playing and non-playing membership of several thousand.

This is an exciting time to be involved in rugby with the game enjoying a profile lift thanks to the success of the World Cup in France and with England hosting the Women's World Cup here in 2025.

It is for this reason that we have looked at Somerset and how we can promote rugby within the County. We have created a new visual identity based on our values and what we stand for. Somerset Rugby - For the community, for the game, for everyone.

The Committee has also been working hard behind the scenes and are proud to share with you the new County Handbook for this season. The Handbook is the first piece of communication which displays the new visual identity for the county. We will be rolling out the new brand over the coming year, including an overhaul of our digital platforms. Our aim is to engage with all our member clubs and to work together to promote rugby within our county.

We are also thrilled to share the news that Webb Ellis have renewed their sponsorship of the Somerset Cup and Vase and have agreed a new deal to be the official kit suppliers to the County for the next three seasons.
