SOMERSET RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION - BELFAST TOUR 2017

The 23 Ladies, 3 Coaches, Manager, Physio and Videographer returned from a hugely successful "Rugby Tour" to Belfast.

What is Success ?

The ladies who were identified over along season and invited to tour based on who they were as people & rugby players continued to grow and were empowered  to make decisons that effected everything they did on tour.

They grew to select their teams to play in the Malone 10's & Carrick Fergus RFC Tournament. They led their tour.

Their attitudes to rugby both on and off the field were exemplary as was their rugby. It took them to the cup final of the Malone international 10's where their performance in all they did was outstanding. After a long day at the world cup final the ladies then played in the Carrick Fergus RFC world cup event. They again showed how their Skill and Qualities.  Their ability just to work hard at things where no talent is required and perform magnificently.

Our own social media coverage was quite outstanding getting reports to all points of the county which are still available.

So overall a terrific tour that has produced enjoyable rugby, identified real leaders and independent decision makers who can all get on together and have fun no matter who they are or where they are from.

The future of ladies rugby in our county is bright as is yours ladies. Go forward.

Thank You it was a pleasure, history was made.
